Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that Iran is ready to send humanitarian relief aid to Syria and Yemen.
He made the remarks during a meeting with visiting Under-Secretary General for the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Mark Lowcock, madaresharghi reported.
The Iranian top diplomat called for putting an end to war in Yemen as well as creation of suitable grounds for dispatch of humanitarian aid to the people in that country.
Lowcock referred to deplorable situation in Yemen due to war situation and extensive famine in the country, noting that the people in Yemen are in dire need of urgent humanitarian aid.
Both officials also conferred on expansion of mutual cooperation.
