The target of the attack has been a leader of a tribe who was killed and his three bodyguards were injured, an Afghan Police chief General Babajan told the media, IRNA reported.
According to reports, the Police cordoned off the region to investigate the case.
Witnesses say that the number of the dead will reach 3.
Afghanistan’s northern province of Balkh in which Mazar-i-Sharif is located has already been among the safest provinces in the country.
