Funeral ceremony for Iranian military advisor Mohsen Hojajji, who was beheaded by the Takfiri terrorists in Syria, will be held on in the Iranian capital Wednesday September 27, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Sunday.

Announcing the date of the funeral ceremony in its statement, the IRGC public relations bureau, praised the faithful and revolutionary people of Iran for all their support to defend the Shia holy shrines in Syria and Iraq and all the sacrifice, IRNA reported.

The Iranian military advisor Mohsen Hojajji, 25, was taken hostage by Daesh terrorist in Al-Tanf area in Syria-Iraq border region in August, and two days later was killed by the terrorists.

Through a deal, the terrorist group returned body of the Iranian martyr and two more bodies belonged to fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah in late August.

The IRGC in an earlier statement on August 31, had said that the body of the martyr has been identified.

Iran is playing a key role in supporting Syrian forces fighting against terrorists.

Syria has been struggling with a crisis caused by terrorist groups and their regional and global supporters since 2011.
