The Azadi Tower is a landmark monument located in Iran’s capital, Tehran.
The tower was built according to the architecture of the Achaemenid and Sasanian eras, as well as Islamic architecture.
Iranian architect, Hossein Amanat, designed the Azadi Tower, and Mohammad Pour Fat’hi built the monument.
Built with white marble, the tower is 45 meters in height and was registered on Iran National Heritage List in 1974.
The monument celebrates its 49th anniversary in 2020.
