Iran has exported about 550 tons of non-oil products to Oman through southern port of Sirik in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-September 21), a provincial official said on Thursday.

The products have been dispatched to northern Omani port of Shinas, Governor of Sirik region in Hormuzgan Province Ahmad Jamaleddini said, according to IRNA.

The exported products have been valued at 64 billion rials and were shipped to Oman in form of five separate cargos, the first of them was sent five months ago, said the governor.

He added, the exported items included fresh and dried fruits, mineral water, cans, grains and chaff, which have been shipped by three vessels.

He noted that the export line from Sirik to Shinas has been launched to boost trade in the province.

The official added that the first cargo was exported about five months ago to Oman.
