Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif on Tuesday presented a letter of appreciation and a plaque of honor to the bereaved family of Iranian military advisor Mohsen Hojaji who was beheaded by the Daesh terrorist group in August in Syria.
In a local ceremony attended by family of martyr Hojaji, Zarif commended the sacrifices of the Iranian military advisors, known in Iran as defenders of holy shrines, IRNA reported.
Zarif in his letter of appreciation stressed that Hojaji sacrificed his life to protect dignity of Iran and Islam.
“The martyrdom of Hojaji was a very sad and bitter incident, but it is true evidence to the rightness of the Islamic Republic relentless war against the Takfiri terrorists,” the letter read.
