Turkey, Iran and Iraq will soon hold high-level talks on the recent referendum conducted by the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m told reporters on Thursday.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tY\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m, after a telephone conversation with Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangir, told journalists that Ankara, Tehran and Baghdad are expected to hold high-level trilateral and bilateral meetings soon to examine the issue of the KRG referendum, according to IRNA.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said that Turkey remains to have close cooperation with Iran and Iraq on the issue and will continue to do so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Turkish Prime Minister also said adopting measures that would lead to disintegration of the region and alteration of geographical borders as well as formation of new fabricated governments are going to put under risk the security and peace of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Referring to the visit to Tehran by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday next week, Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m said that he and Jahangiri talked about the Turkish President’s trip, current regional developments and consequences of the referendum in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
