Local accounts indicate that despite huge turn-out in Erbil, Suleymaniyeh gave a cold face to the idea of independence.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPolling stations opened to voters at 8 a.m. local time (9:30 a.m. Tehran Time) and stations started to close their doors at 6 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. Tehran Time) with some stations extending for an extra one hour grace.
