I expect tensions to ease,\u201d Cemil Ertem, Erdogan\u2019s chief economic adviser, said in an interview on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTurkish-German ties have come under pressure since the Turkish government launched a crackdown after a failed coup last year. Germany has criticized mass arrests, refused to extradite people Turkey says were involved in the putsch and demanded the release of around a dozen German citizens arrested in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cTurkey\u2019s relations with the European Union will be rapidly repaired from the first quarter of 2018. I think Turkey\u2019s exports to the EU will increase further,\u201d Ertem said.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe improvement in EU relations would also lead to a \u201cvery good year\u201d for tourism in 2018, he said.
