{"id":656,"date":"2017-08-30T16:28:31","date_gmt":"2017-08-30T16:28:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madaresharghi.com\/?p=656"},"modified":"2017-08-30T16:28:31","modified_gmt":"2017-08-30T16:28:31","slug":"russia-qatar-boost-economic-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/russia-qatar-boost-economic-ties\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia, Qatar boost economic ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madaresharghi..com\">madaresharghi<\/a><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p><h2 class=\"lide\">Two of the world\u2019s largest energy producers, Qatar and Russia vowed to increase trade ties at a time when Doha is facing an economic boycott from neighboring states.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<div readability=\"62\">\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; font-family: Arial, \"Microsoft Sans Serif\"; font-size: 17px; line-height: 1.6em; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">\n\tRussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the commitment after a \u201clengthy\u201d meeting in Doha with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and before that, the country\u2019s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, reoprted Hurriyet Daily.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to bolstering trade and economic ties,\u201d Lavrov told reporters afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Moscow \u201cattached great importance\u201d to economic cooperation, including energy, between the two countries, a sentiment echoed by Sheikh Mohammed.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and Qatar are two of the world\u2019s top four gas producing countries.<\/p>\n<p>Both are also major oil producers, and last year Qatar spent billions on taking a stake in Russia\u2019s state-controlled oil company, Rosneft.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar has turned to expanding its economic ties after a group of countries led by Saudi-Arabia and United Arab Emirates cut off political and trade links with Doha on June 5, initiating the Gulf\u2019s worst political crisis in years.<\/p>\n<p>The bloc accuses Qatar of supporting extremism, a charge the emirate denies.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>madaresharghi Two of the world\u2019s largest energy producers, Qatar and Russia vowed to increase trade ties at a time when Doha is facing an economic boycott from neighboring states.
