A Turkish political expert believes Ankara would not launch any attacks against Kurds in Syria and would create a safe zone on its borders with Syria instead in order to prevent any Kurdistan Workers\u2019 Party (PKK) and the Islamic State (IS) infiltration.<\/p>\n
Turkish officials have reportedly stated that they would target Kurds in Syria for their alleged link with the PKK which is considered as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.<\/p>\n
Sinem Cangiz, however, wrote in an article in New Arab website that he does not believe Turkey would attacks the Syrian Kurdish forces of Peoples\u2019 Protection Units (YPG).<\/p>\n
Turkey\u2019s strategy towards Syria has changed and Ankara would not conduct any attacks like what it did in Euphrates Shield Operation, he said, reiterating that Turkey is now seeking to boost security on its border with Syria.<\/p>\n
