Commander of Quds Force of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani condemned the beheading of an Iranian advisor in Syria by Daesh terrorists and pledged to take revenge on the terror group.<\/p>\n
General Soleimani in a statement on Thursday said Iranian forces will not rest until they have taken out every last terrorist from the face of the Muslim world.<\/p>\n
Mohsen Hojaji, who was a member of the Iranian advisory support team in Syria, was reportedly taken hostage by the Daesh terrorist group near the Iraqi border on Monday and beheaded two days later, Press TV reported.<\/p>\n
General Soleimani said the \u201chorrific, inhumane crime\u201d came in the wake of successive blows dealt on several fronts to Takfiri-Wahhabi terror groups, which are tied to global arrogance.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe atrocity does not fall within any Islamic, or even humanitarian, principle or law,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
Such acts, the general said, would further strengthen the Iranian servicemen\u2019s resolve in pursuit of their cause \u201cto purge every inch of the Muslim territories of their (the terrorists\u2019) evil presence.\u201d<\/p>\n
Iranian servicemen \u201cwill avenge this bestial act with a firm decision, namely [to realize] the very eradication of the evil growth of Wahhabism and terrorism from the face of the Muslim world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ministry message<\/strong><\/p>\n Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi offered their condolences over the martyrdom of the Iranian advisor, IRNA reported.<\/p>\n In a message posted on Instagram on Friday, Zarif paid tribute to Hojaji and all martyrs \u201cwho sacrificed themselves for the security and tranquility of oppressed Muslims.”<\/p>\n He said the Iranian martyrs have lost their lives in the fight against the cruel Takfiri terrorists and their supporters.<\/p>\n In a separate message, Qassemi also expressed deep condolences to the Iranian people, particularly the bereaved family of Hojaji.<\/p>\n At Iraq and Syria\u2019s request, the Islamic Republic has been providing the advisory assistance to the respective countries\u2019 armies in their fight against terrorists.<\/p>\n On June 7, Daesh gunmen mounted assaults on Iran\u2019s Parliament and the mausoleum of late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, leaving 18 people dead and over 50 others wounded.<\/p>\n The IRGC responded with a missile strike, which pummeled Daesh positions in Syria.<\/p>\n The group, which is by many accounts on its last legs in Iraq and Syria, is now seeking to establish footholds in countries beyond the Middle East, including Afghanistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Commander of Quds Force of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qassem Soleimani condemned the beheading of an Iranian advisor in Syria by Daesh terrorists and pledged to take revenge on the terror group.
