{"id":3235,"date":"2020-05-10T17:58:56","date_gmt":"2020-05-10T17:58:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/?p=3235"},"modified":"2020-05-10T17:58:59","modified_gmt":"2020-05-10T17:58:59","slug":"export-guarantee-fund-of-iran-increases-capital-by-200m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/export-guarantee-fund-of-iran-increases-capital-by-200m\/","title":{"rendered":"Export Guarantee Fund of Iran increases capital by $200m"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI) has increased \nits capital by $200 million, IRNA reported on Sunday, quoting the head \nof the fund.\nAccording to Afrouz Bahrami, after the mentioned increase the EGFI\u2019s \ncapital has reached $300 million.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis will increase the fund&#8217;s risk coverage up to $5 billion and\n will be a major step in providing practical support for the domestic \nproduction,\u201d Bahrami said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EGFI\u2019s capital was supposed to be increased by \u20ac100 million from the \nrevenues of the National Development Fund (NDF) in the current Iranian \ncalendar year (March 2020-21).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The head of the Export Guarantee Fund said that the mentioned capital\n is going to support the Fund&#8217;s guarantees and insurance policies, \nadding that &#8220;based on the current standards, we can cover export risks \nup to 10 times the fund\u2019s capital.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bahrami had previously told IRNA that the EGFI capital should be at least \u20ac500 million to reach international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in July 2019, the official had announced that EFGI was ranked \nfirst in terms of performance among the members of the Aman Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Affiliated to the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the Export \nGuarantee Fund of Iran has been established in order to expand and \npromote exports, to protect exporters against non-commercial risks, \nwhich are normally not covered by the insurance companies, and to \nguarantee credits used for export of such goods and services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI) has increased its capital by $200 million, IRNA reported on Sunday, quoting the head of the fund.
