Mouteh and Zarshouran gold mines produced a total of 1,139 kilograms of gold ingots in the last Iranian year that ended on March 19, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tAccording to Omid Emami, an official with the Iranian Mines and Mining \nIndustries Development and Renovation Organization, the two mines are \nexpecting a 17% rise in their output this year (March 2020-21) to reach \n1,333 kilograms, IRNA reported. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tIran\u2019s first exploited deposit of the precious mineral, Mouteh Gold \nMine, is located in Meymeh County in Isfahan Province and operates with \nan annual production capacity of 300,000 kilograms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tZarshooran Gold Mine has 110 tons of pure gold reserves, the richest \ngold mine not only in the country but also in the Middle East. It \ncontains 30% of Iran\u2019s gold reserves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tCurrently, around 700 people are working in the mine located 35 \nkilometers from Takab town in the northwestern province of West \nAzarbaijan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tA total of 8.5 tons of gold were extracted from Iranian mines last year, according to the head of Iran’s Mine House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tMohammad Reza Bahraman also noted that most of Iran\u2019s old reserves are located in small mines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
