Iranian surrealist painter Iran Darrudi has asked her countrymen to share their love of their homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking\n to the Iran-France Friendship Association in an online interview on \nlast Wednesday, the 83-year-old Darrudi said, \u201cUnfortunately, Iran and \nits history has been consigned to oblivion, however, we cannot deny our \nidentity; we are Iranian and the history shows that this land has been \nthe founder of the world\u2019s culture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She addressed Iranians and said, \u201cBe \nrespectful of the Persian language and write and speak properly; we \nshould share our common love for Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tehran Municipality has allocated a \nlarge area to establish a museum to embrace works by the renowned \nIranian surrealist painter Iran Darrudi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in the northeastern Iranian city of \nMashhad, Darrudi has studied at Ecole Superier des Beaux-Arts and the \n\u00c9cole du Louvre in Paris and the Royal Academy of Brussels. She also \nreceived education on television direction and production at the RCA \nInstitute in New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Few years ago, she returned to her \nhomeland and the Tehran Municipality promised her to establish a museum \nin the Yusefabad district to embrace the works she had brought with \nherself from Paris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Iran\u2019s Cultural Heritage, \nTourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) honored her with the first \nEternal Tile, which was embedded on the wall of her house in Tehran in \nMay 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea to install the tiles on the \nhouses of contemporary artists, literati and religious figures was \ninitiated by the CHTHO Office for Inscription of Properties and \nRevitalization of Intangible and Natural Heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tile bearing the name and title of the\n celebrity is installed on the fa\u00e7ade of his\/her house. It also carries \nthe year the artist began to live in the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOver my life, I have regularly proved \nthat how much I love Iran, its great history and my countrymen; I was \nborn a lover and I have honestly expressed my love of Iran and its great\n history,\u201d Darrudi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m thankful for my people\u2019s affection to\n me and I want to know that I deserve your love; I\u2019ve been offering \nservice fairly over all these years to acquaint my people with the \ncontemporary art,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She talked about her faith in her Iranian \nidentity and said, \u201cMy name is Iran and by selecting this name for me, \nthey have assigned me a great duty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Darrudi also spoke about how she is dealing with the home quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFortunately, I always take my pleasure \nfrom every moment of life. I can manage myself by myself and I can \ncreate something in solitude. I\u2019ve been spending all my time in the home\n quarantine drawing paintings and I feel that I am among the luckiest \npeople of the world,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
