{"id":3182,"date":"2020-04-28T18:38:09","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T18:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/?p=3182"},"modified":"2020-04-28T18:38:11","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T18:38:11","slug":"mining-sector-accounts-for-25-of-irans-annual-non-oil-income","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/mining-sector-accounts-for-25-of-irans-annual-non-oil-income\/","title":{"rendered":"Mining sector accounts for 25% of Iran\u2019s annual non-oil income"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> Iran\u2019s Deputy Industry Mining, and Trade Minister \nDarioush Esmaili said the mining sector accounted for 25 percent of the \ncountry\u2019s non-oil revenues in the past Iranian calendar year (ended on \nMarch 19). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to the state TV on Monday evening, Esmaili \nnoted that the steel chain had the biggest share of the income in the \nmentioned industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe also have good prospects for the current year, as well,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Underlining the fact that Iran is one of the richest countries in the\n mining sector, he added: &#8220;If we can make good use of the capacities in \nthis sector, it can increase the people\u2019s welfare and comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official further mentioned the limitations and problems that the \nU.S. sanctions created for the mining sector in the previous year, \nsaying: \u201cdespite all the hardships the production of minerals and mining\n products in the country not only didn\u2019t fall but also increased and \nespecially in the steel chain the level of exports also rose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry has provisioned operational \ntargets in the mining sector\u2019s three major areas of exploration, \nextraction and processing, for the current year, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the mining industry sector, we have targeted a 25 percent \nincrease in the production of mineral products, and in the exploration \nsector, we will add about 20 percent to the previous reserves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development \nand Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) announced that mining exploration \noperations are underway in 652,061 square kilometers of land.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran\u2019s Deputy Industry Mining, and Trade Minister Darioush Esmaili said the mining sector accounted for 25 percent of the country\u2019s non-oil revenues in the past Iranian calendar year (ended on March 19).
