\n\tLiwal made the remarks in a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of \nDirectors of Chabahar Free Trade\u2013Industrial Zone Organization Abdolrahim\n Kordi, IRNA reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tIn the meeting, Liwal said expansion of all-out relations won\u2019t be \npossible without stronger economic ties and we are determined for \nstronger presence of our businessmen and traders in Chabahar port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\t\u201cChabahar is a transit bridge for Afghanistan and we are going to \nexpand our economic relations through increasing exports and imports \nthrough Chabahar,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tAccording to the official, following the country\u2019s plans for boosting \ntrade in Chabahar, setting up an Afghan bank branch in the port is one \nof the plans that Afghanistan is pursuing along with other programs to \nresolve issues like residency and certification problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tKordi for his part pointed to some of the port\u2019s capacities and \ninvestment potentials, saying that more than 176 Afghan companies have \nregistered for trade activities in the port, however only 32 of them are\n currently active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\t\u201cChabahar is a strategic port and Afghan businessmen and traders need \nto have a greater presence in it and increase their investment,\u201d Kordi \nstressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tThe official assured Liwal that the organization will have the outmost \ncooperation with all foreign investors and there would be no limitations\n in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\t\u201cChabahar has a bright future, and all the problems that the investors \nare facing will be resolved \u2026.there is no worries,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tAfghanistan officially started exporting goods to India through Chabahar port in a ceremony held in early February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tThe event was attended by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, along with \nIranian Ambassador to Kabul Mohammadreza Bahrami and Indian Ambassador \nto Afghanistan Vinay Kumar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\tIn 2016, Iran, India and Afghanistan decided to jointly establish a trade route for landlocked Central Asian countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
