{"id":247,"date":"2017-08-06T23:31:40","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T23:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madaresharghi.com\/?p=247"},"modified":"2017-08-06T23:31:40","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T23:31:40","slug":"kurds-are-represented-in-government-turkish-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/kurds-are-represented-in-government-turkish-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Kurds are represented in government: Turkish president"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan dismissed claims that Kurds are not represented in the Justice and Development Party (AKP)-dominated government.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe don\u2019t have such a problem,\u201d Erdogan remarked during a ceremony on Saturday, August 5, adding that his Kurdish brothers are nowadays in high positions in the government and his party.<\/p>\n<p>As examples Erdogan offered that government spokesperson Bekir [Bozdag] is a Kurd and MP from Yozgat, as well as the assistant to the prime minister Mohammed Shimshak, elected MP from Gaziantep but originally from Batman.<\/p>\n<p>Erdogan added that presidential advisor Aisha Turkmanoghlo is also a Kurd too, saying not to look at her name which contains Turkmen, Rudaw reported.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve Peoples\u2019 Democratic Paty (HDP) MPs, including the leaders Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag, are currently imprisoned. The pro-Kurdish party won 59 seats in the November 2015 vote.<\/p>\n<p>Two pro-Kurdish lawmakers were stripped of their status in the Turkish parliament on Thursday on the grounds of absenteeism, missing meetings of the general assembly.
