{"id":2124,"date":"2017-12-08T19:38:25","date_gmt":"2017-12-08T20:38:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.com\/tehran-baghdad-negotiating-date-for-kirkuk-crude-exports\/"},"modified":"2017-12-08T19:38:25","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T20:38:25","slug":"tehran-baghdad-negotiating-date-for-kirkuk-crude-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/tehran-baghdad-negotiating-date-for-kirkuk-crude-exports\/","title":{"rendered":"Tehran, Baghdad Negotiating Date for Kirkuk Crude Exports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madaresharghi..com\">madaresharghi<\/a><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p> \tThe head of Iraq\u2019s state oil marketer SOMO is currently holding talks in Iran to determine a start date for oil exports from Iraq\u2019s Kirkuk oilfields, Iraqi Oil Minister Jabar al-Luaibi said on Wednesday.<br \/> \tAn oil official told Reuters last week that some Kirkuk crude would be shipped \u201cin the near future\u201d by trucks to Iran\u2019s Kermanshah refinery, at a rate of 30,000 barrels per day, Reuters reported.<br \/> \tThe statements come shortly after Luaibi and his Iranian counterpart Bijan Namdar Zanganeh discussed plans to swap Kirkuk crude in a meeting of OPEC countries in Vienna, Austria, last month.<br \/> \tPlans call for transporting crude oil from Kirkuk in the north of Iraq to a refinery in the western Iranian province of Kermanshah with equal amounts to be shipped to customers from the Persian Gulf terminals.<br \/> \tAccording to Zanganeh, the first phase of the swap deal will involve trucking crude from Kirkuk field, followed by the construction of a pipeline in the second phase.<br \/> \tTrucking is intended to start at 15,000 barrels per day and cap at 30,000 bpd, but Luaibi said it could increase to 60,000 bpd.
