Hundreds of people have staged rallies across Bahrain in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian nation and to roundly condemn the recent decision by US President Donald Trump to recognize Israeli-occupied Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of the Tel Aviv regime.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tProtesters took to the streets in the northern villages of Abu Saiba\u00a0and Shakhura on Friday evening, chanting slogans against the United States and demanding that the move\u00a0be\u00a0reversed.<\/p>\n

\n\tThey also trampled\u00a0on\u00a0US flags and posters bearing the picture of Trump.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeparately, people held a demonstration under the motto of \u201cAl-Quds, the Capital of all Muslims\u201d in Sehla\u00a0village on the outskirts of the capital city Manama.<\/p>\n

\n\tSimilar protest demonstrations were staged in\u00a0the villages of Karrana, Saar, Eker, Nuwaidrat, al-Musalla, Jidhafs, al-Daih, Barbar\u00a0as well as the island of Sitra.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe protesters called for the immediate expulsion of US Ambassador to Bahrain\u00a0Justin Siberell.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday, Trump announced his decision to recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel\u2019s capital and relocate the US embassy in the occupied lands from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds.<\/p>\n

\n\tJerusalem al-Quds remains at the core of the Israeli\u2013Palestinian conflict, with Palestinians hoping that the eastern part of the city would eventually serve as the capital of a future independent Palestinian state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
