\n\t\t\tThe Tuesday attack took place in a crowded market place in the predominantly Shia Turkmen town in Kirkuk Province.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAccording to medical sources, most of the casualties were civilians\u00a0and the death toll is expected to rise as many of those wounded are in\u00a0critical condition.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAt least six Iraqi security forces were among those killed.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNo group has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe incident comes a few days following the collapse of the pro-claimed caliphate of Daesh Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and Syria.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOn Friday, Iraqi armed forces liberated the town of Rawa near the border with Syria, which was the last remaining town under Daesh\u2019s control, and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTwo days later, Syrian army soldiers, backed by pro-government fighters from popular defense groups, fully liberated Bukamal, Daesh\u2019s last stronghold in Syria, which is a strategic city in the country\u2019s eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr on the border with Iraq.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe recapture of the two towns marked an end to Daesh\u2019s reign of terror, which started in 2014 with the group making vast territorial gains in a lightning offensive and establishing its self-proclaimed \u201ccaliphate\u201d in Iraq\u2019s Mosul and Syria\u2019s Raqqah.<\/p>\n
