{"id":1842,"date":"2017-11-21T09:51:49","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T10:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madaresharghi.com\/general-soleimani-congratulates-leader-on-victory-over-daesh\/"},"modified":"2017-11-21T09:51:49","modified_gmt":"2017-11-21T10:51:49","slug":"general-soleimani-congratulates-leader-on-victory-over-daesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/general-soleimani-congratulates-leader-on-victory-over-daesh\/","title":{"rendered":"General Soleimani congratulates Leader on victory over Daesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madaresharghi..com\">madaresharghi<\/a><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p><h2 class=\"lide\">Major General Qassem Soleimani, who commands the Quds Force of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has congratulated Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the collapse of the terror group Daesh in Iraq and Syria.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<div readability=\"103\">\n<p>\n\tIn a congratulatory message to the Leader on Tuesday, General Soleimani hailed the \u201cgreat victory\u201d over Daesh which was materialized thanks to the prudent leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei and the sacrifices of all resistance fighters in Iraq and Syria, Press TV reported.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBacked by popular groups and Iranian military advisors, armed forces in Iraq and Syria have managed to flush Daesh terrorists out of their last strongholds in both countries, declaring full victory over the notorious terror group.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSoleimani praised the steadfastness of the Iraqi and Syrian nations, governments, armies and popular forces throughout the counter-terrorism battles, paying special homage to the endeavors and struggles of Iraq\u2019s Popular Mobilization Units, better known as Hashd al-Sha\u2019abi, in the offensive to annihilate Daesh.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe general also thanked Lebanon\u2019s Hezbollah resistance movement for its \u201cpowerful presence\u201d and the pivotal role it played on the battlefield against terrorists in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSoleimani made reference to a long list of hideous crimes committed by Daesh during its \u201csinister\u201d terror campaign, including mass beheadings, enslavements, and immolation of innocent people.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Takfiri outfit, he added, managed to seize swathes of land in the two Arab states where it unleashed a crisis by radicalizing and recruiting thousands of youths.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe onslaught, he said, displaced millions of people and destroyed thousands of mosques and religious centers.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSoleimani also highlighted Washington&#8217;s destructive role amid the regional fight against terror.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe said even the highest-ranking American official, the president of the United States, has acknowledged that all these crimes have been orchestrated and perpetrated by individuals and organizations with links to the United States, adding that US leaders are treading on the same path even now.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn Friday, Iraqi armed forces liberated Rawa near the border with Syria, which was the last remaining town under Daesh\u2019s control, and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTwo days later, Syrian Army soldiers, backed by pro-government fighters from popular defense groups, fully liberated Bukamal, Daesh\u2019s last stronghold in Syria, which is a strategic city in the country\u2019s eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr on the border with Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGeneral Soleimani traveled to Syria to personally oversee the final stages of the Bukamal liberation operation.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe recapture of the two cities marked an end to Daesh\u2019s reign of terror, which started in 2014 with the group making vast territorial gains in a lightning offensive and establishing its self-proclaimed \u201ccaliphate\u201d in Iraq\u2019s Mosul and Syria\u2019s Raqqa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>madaresharghi Major General Qassem Soleimani, who commands the Quds Force of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has congratulated Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the collapse of the terror group Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
