{"id":1492,"date":"2017-10-31T05:48:13","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T06:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madaresharghi.com\/iran-iraq-borders-safest-in-region-iran-mp\/"},"modified":"2017-10-31T05:48:13","modified_gmt":"2017-10-31T06:48:13","slug":"iran-iraq-borders-safest-in-region-iran-mp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madaresharghi.ir\/en\/iran-iraq-borders-safest-in-region-iran-mp\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran-Iraq borders safest in region: Iran MP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madaresharghi..com\">madaresharghi<\/a><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p><h2 class=\"lide\">Due to the common culture and religion, the borders of Iran and Iraq are the safest ones in the region, said Head of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<div readability=\"63\">\n<p>\n\tBoroujerdi also praised the role of Iraq&#8217;s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and religious authority in fighting terrorism while visiting the western borders with Iraq to investigate their conditions close to Arbaeen, IRNA reported.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe also thanked the Iraqi officials for cooperation with the Iranian pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAccording to the Iranian officials, the number of Iranian pilgrims to attend the religious rituals of Arbaeen in Iraq would hit 2.5 million people this year. Last year two million Iranians took part in the event.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tArbaeen, falling on November 9 this year, is a Shia Muslim religious observance that occurs forty days after the Day of Ashura to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the third Imam of Shia Muslims.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIt marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tEach year, pilgrims, mainly from Iraq and Iran, travel long routes on foot to Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLast year, around 20 million pilgrims from all over the world gathered in Karbala on Arbaeen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>madaresharghi Due to the common culture and religion, the borders of Iran and Iraq are the safest ones in the region, said Head of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
