The Israeli regime, emboldened by an especially anti-Iran White House, has started repeating threats of military action against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, Israel\u2019s Transportation and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz said that the Tel Aviv regime would take military action against Iran if attempts \u2018led\u2019 by the US President Donald Trump administration to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon did not succeed, presstv.com reported.<\/p>\n

\n\tIran has consistently denied that it is seeking to build atomic weapons and has put its nuclear program under a most intrusive international monitoring regime as part of a deal with six other countries.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf international efforts led these days by Trump don\u2019t help stop Iran attaining nuclear capabilities, Israel will act militarily by itself,\u201d he said in the Japanese capital of Tokyo, where he was to lobby Japanese officials against Iran.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe was apparently referring to US administration attempts to have the terms of the international nuclear deal with Iran changed.<\/p>\n

\n\tKatz said Tel Aviv wanted tighter conditions to be imposed on Iran\u2019s nuclear program under a revision of the deal.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an October 13 speech, Trump said he would not certify that Iran is complying with the accord under an American law. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the institution formally tasked with the job of certifying Iranian compliance, says Iran is compliant. Trump also threatened that he might ultimately \u2018terminate\u2019 the deal.<\/p>\n

\n\tKatz said he had asked the Tokyo government to support steps led by Trump to \u2018change\u2019 the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers. Asian economic powerhouse Japan had earlier announced support for the Iran deal.<\/p>\n

\n\tJapan becomes the latest country to announce its support for a landmark nuclear agreement reached between Iran and six other countries in 2015.<\/p>\n

\n\tIran has made it clear that, while it would never launch a first strike, it would obliterate the Israeli regime if Tel Aviv attacked the country. In 2013, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei famously warned that Iran would \u201cturn Tel Aviv and Haifa into dust\u201d if Israel attacked the country.<\/p>\n

\n\tIsraeli threats of military action against Iran then subsided. But, while the Tel Aviv regime even seemed to have capitulated to the reality of the deal at one point, it remained zealously opposed to it.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump\u2019s rise to the presidency in January 2017, however, seemed to have given Israel new cause for hope.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeparately, an American spy chief told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday that Tel Aviv should be permitted to buy bunker-buster bombs from the US to deter Iran.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve talked about that thought… I can imagine circumstances where the US might want to take steps to convince Iran of its seriousness,\u201d said Michael Hayden, a former director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAllowing Israel to purchase them (bunker-busters) in gradations, training on them, but keeping them here (in the US)\u201d could be some of those steps, he said.<\/p>\n
