Cabinet Spokesperson Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht warned Tuesday that Iran would deem in the same front as Daesh terrorists any country which designates the Revolutionary Guards Corps as a \u2018terrorist organization\u2019.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNobakht made the remarks in a briefing session on Tuesday, in reaction to some Western media speculation that US President Donald Trump was expected to label Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, MNA reported.<\/p>\n

\n\tIRGC, which is primarily responsible for national security in Iran, is also one of the strongest forces in combating Daesh terrorists in the region.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe media speculations prompted IRGC commander Major General Ali Jafari to warn the US government that if they regarded IRGC as a terrorist group, the Guards would also consider the American military all over the world, especially the Middle East, as equal to Daesh.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing Jafari\u2019s warning, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi supported the IRGC chief\u2019s position, saying Iran\u2019s response would be harsh and crushing if the US were to make the strategic mistake of labeling the Guards a terrorist organization.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRouhani administration\u2019s positions toward the IRGC are very clear,\u201d Nobakht said in his briefing session. \u201cThe IRGC is an official and revolutionary organization of Iran\u2019s establishment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cThe world needs to regard the IRGC realistically and confirm the Guards\u2019 effective defense against the attacks of terrorists, especially Daesh.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Cabinet Spokesperson further called for stability and calm in Iranian markets unaffected by the comments that Trump may make by the end of the week as he would be ready to submit his report on Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal to the Congress.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe all need to unite against a man who speaks a lot of nonsense,\u201d Nobakht said. \u201cThe least that the nuclear deal did for us was that it revealed to the world that Iran is in compliance with its international commitments while the US was isolated.
