Turkish governmental sources have stated that Ankara is seeking to erect a wall on its border with Kurdistan Region and the process would start in October or November 2017.
Turkey is building a wall on its border with Iran after the building of a wall on Turkey border with Syria ended months ago and the third was is to be built on Turkey border with the north of Iraq.
Xinhua news agency quoted governmental sources in Ankara as saying that the plan to erect the wall on border with Kurdistan Region is being made and the erection process would start in October or November.
Ankara officials have expressed their satisfaction for building the wall on Syria, claiming that security threats on the border has decreased.
According to Xinhua Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated last January that a wall would be created on Turkey border with Iraq, failing to set a date for the start of the project.
