Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Swiss ambassador to Tehran, whose country represents the US interests in Iran, over Washington’s meddling in the Islamic Republic’s internal affairs.
Swiss ambassador to Tehran Markus Leitner was summoned on Wednesday, receiving Tehran’s protest about the US administration’s meddling in the internal affairs of Iran.
The White House and some of American officials including US State Secretary Mike Pompeo have voiced support for recent unrest in a number of Iranian cities.
